The Collier Building Industry Association (CBIA) announced its 2016 Associate and Builder of the Year Awards and unveiled its 2017 Board of Directors at the organization’s annual Holiday Happenings dinner held at the Olde Cypress Country Club in Naples in mid-December.
Sherri Rozzi, Director of Business Development and Model Merchandising for Norris Furniture & Interiors was presented the CBIA’s 2016 Associate of the Year award by last year’s recipient, Peggy Wilson, founder of Wilson Creative Group.
According to out-going CBIA president Terry Kelly, partner at Surety Construction, “Sherri Rozzi provides design solutions for new construction projects throughout Southwest Florida working closely with many of the area’s top luxury builders, developers, architects and commercial contractors. As a member of CBIA’s Sales & Marketing Council and Chair of this year’s Sand Dollar Awards Gala, Sherri made a huge impact on the gala’s success and extended our organization’s brand throughout the community. She worked tirelessly to ensure a well attended event; she is cherished by everyone who has had the privilege of working with her.”
The 2016 CBIA Builder of the Year honor was bestowed upon Claudine Leger-Wetzel, vice president of sales and marketing and president of Real Estate Services for Stock Development by last year’s recipient, Cali Clardy of Refined Builders and Construction. Ms. Leger-Wetzel joined Stock Development in 2001 and has served CBIA as a former member of the Board of Directors and the Sales and Marketing Council. She is a dedicated supporter of the annual Toy Drive and over the past six years has extensively fundraised for CBIA’s single-site Parade of Homes at both Lely Resort and Quail West.
“What is so unique and special about Claudine is that she consistently supports CBIA unconditionally and is always willing to step in and share her vision, then she provides exacting details on how to executive her vision,” reports Kathy Curatolo, CBIA executive vice president. “She rolls up her sleeves and works with others every step of the way, epitomizing what every organization dreams of in a leader and volunteer. We are blessed to have this “superwoman” among our leaders and volunteers — she is truly loved by all,” she adds.
The 2017 Board of Directors features a wide range of qualified and notable figures in the community from a variety of businesses as follows: The elected President is David Dunnavant of Peninsula Engineering; Terry Kelly of Surety Construction is Immediate Past President; Kevin Deardorff of Weibel, Hennels & Carufe, LLC Â is Past Vice President; Anthony Fortino of Fortino Development & Construction is President Elect; Jessica Schneider of Robb & Stucky is Vice President; Secretary is Mark Woodward of Woodward, Pires & Lombardo; and Treasurer is Mike Taylor.
