FHB Insurance Names James Leach as New CEO

FHB Insurance announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed James “Jim” Leach as Chief Executive Officer effective February 1.

Leach comes to FHB Insurance from Atlanta based Insurance Specialty Group as Executive Vice President and Counsel, where he worked for the past ten years. Insurance Specialty Group is a Nationwide insurance program manager for residential contractors, and has a strong relationship with FHB Insurance.

“As FHB Insurance moves forward, the Board and I are confident that Leach is the right person to lead our company,” said Dave Carter, Chairman of the FHB Insurance Board of Directors. “He has a proven ability and commitment to the home building market. We know that he will drive growth and achieve positive results.”

Leach received his undergraduate degree from Duke University, his MBA and Masters of Insurance from Georgia State University and a JD with honors from the Duke University School of Law. He holds the CPCU and CLU professional designations, and is a licensed insurance agent.

FHB Insurance distributes its products through an independent agency channel, working with agents and brokers that have a dedicated focus on the residential and commercial construction industry and a shared objective of serving the construction industry.
