Richmond American Homes is pleased to announce that Kenny Smith has been appointed Division President for Orlando. Kenny brings more than 18 years of homebuilding leadership experience blended across multiple functional areas, including construction/operations, purchasing, land development and warranty/home care.
Kenny obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He began his career as a Superintendent at Emmer Development, managing the construction of large apartment complex projects.
Beginning in 2002, Kenny joined Pulte Group, Inc. as a Field Manager in their North Florida Division. Over the course of his 16 years at Pulte, Kenny was promoted to a variety of leadership roles with increasing operational responsibility. Most recently, Kenny served as their Vice President of Construction Operations, responsible for overseeing two major markets, Orlando and Jacksonville, with annual closing volume of over 1500 homes.
With his extensive knowledge of the Orlando market and strong leadership abilities, he will be a remarkable addition to the Company as well as The Greater Orlando Builders Association.
