As the Florida Home Builders Representative to the Florida Housing Financing Corporation, I want to alert all FHBA members interested in Affordable Housing programs to participate in an upcoming workshop.
Florida Housing Finance Corporation will hold a workshop to discuss possible uses for HOME Investment Partnership Funding (HOME) on April 10, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, 9300 Jeff Fuqua Blvd, Orlando, FL 32827 beginning at 10:00 a.m., Eastern Time.
The HOME program can be used for a variety of different affordable housing including Multifamily Rental, Single Family Rental and Single-Family Homeownership. Funds can be used to help finance construction costs or just at the end as down payment assistance to the homebuyer. The workshop will be held to solicit comments and suggestions from interested persons relative to Florida Housing’s use of any allocated HOME funds from HUD for any allowable use under 24 CFR Part 92 Regulations.
