FHBA Sees Legislative Victories

I’m pleased to report that four of your six 2009 Legislative Priorities passed in the Legislative Session, and the two remaining items saw partial victories. Specifically, impact fee burden-of-proof, growth management, workers’ compensation insurance and property tax reform have fully passed the Florida Senate and House of Representatives and are headed to the Governor for his action.

FHBA Sees All Priorities Approved

Members of the Florida Home Builders Association saw their last Top Legislative Priority for 2009 signed into law last week when Governor Crist penned SB 360 – the Growth Management bill. This new law sends a message that Florida’s elected officials are serious about wanting to jumpstart the states economy and create jobs.
