Week of April 19: Measures that would lift the cap on the Sadowski Affordable Housing Trust Fund are in good shape. HB 665 by Rep. Gary Aubuchon (R-Cape Coral) is on third reading in the House. Companion legislation, SB 262 by Sen. Mike Bennett (R-Bradenton) is in position to be heard by the full Senate.

Week of April 12: HB 665 by Rep. Gary Aubuchon (R-Cape Coral) that will lift the cap on the Sadowski Affordable Housing Trust Fund is poised for final passage in the House. The FHBA Governmental Affairs team is working aggressively to ensure the Senate companion measure, SB 262 by Sen. Bennett, works its way through committees in order to be heard by the full Senate.

Week of April 5: A House and Senate bill lifting the cap on the Sadowski Affordable Housing Trust Fund received unanimous support last week. HB 665 by Rep. Gary Aubuchon (R-Cape Coral) will now proceed to the House floor, and SB 262 by Sen. Mike Bennett (R-Bradenton) proceeds to its last committee stop before moving to be heard by the full Senate.

Week of March 15: SB 262 by Sen. Mike Bennett (R-Bradenton) received a favorable committee hearing. This bill is designed to lift the cap on the Sadowski Affordable Housing Trust Fund program. A companion bill, HB 665 by Rep. Gary Aubuchon (R-Cape Coral), received a favorable hearing during the first week of the 2010 Legislative Session. Both bills continue to progress.

Week of March 1: HB 665 by Rep. Gary Aubuchon (R-Cape Coral) received a favorable hearing at its first committee stop. This measure is designed to lift the cap on the Sadowski Trust Fund.
