I will get to the bottom line quickly – we need your help. The Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) is at war in Tallahassee. Our legislative proposals have drawn the ire of the Florida Justice Association, cities, counties, environmentalists, and even other contracting groups.
However, one thing remains clear! The FHBA and our members are the only ones focused on creating an economic and regulatory climate, which fosters quality, affordable housing. Click here to view our progress on these issues, covering the third week of session.
To combat the special interests who support the status quo of a litigation climate, which needlessly exacerbates the affordability crisis, we need you – who work in the industry – to convene on Tallahassee and help push pro-housing legislation.

Some of the highlights include:
- FHB PAC 1,000 Club Reception: On Monday, Feb. 12th, from 6:30 – 9:00 PM, we expect several statewide candidates and legislative leaders to join us at Proof Brewing Company & Beer Garden. This event is free for FHB PAC 1,000 Club Members, who may bring a guest for $75.
- Lobbying 101 Seminar: Experienced FHBA members will provide a “how-to” session on effectively speaking with legislative officials; to be held on Tuesday, Feb. 13th, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (immediately following the Legislative Briefing).
- Legislative Reception: On Tuesday, Feb. 13th, from 5:30 – 7:00 PM, come socialize with your hometown legislative at the historic Clyde’s & Costello’s watering hole.
