New Draft ISMP & Upcoming Webinars

The updated Draft ISMP is now available via the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). Click here to view.

The main changes to this document from the October 2015 version are clarifications to the Law and Policy chapter on Review of State Agency Permitting and the four policies. We have made updates to our rules 68A-27.003, 68A-16.003, 68A-26.002, and 68A-25.002 that will go before to the Commission in September before being noticed. The FWCย has clarified some of our objectives in the Implementation Chapter and we have also added information in the Impacts Assessment Chapter on the estimated cost to implement the plan and guidelines.

The FWCย is now opening up a FINAL 45 day comment period on the draft ISMP, starting today, July 20th until September 2nd, 2016.ย They ask that you focus your review on content and concepts rather than editorial comments. Please add your comments and suggestions to the PDF file by using the โ€˜Add Sticky Noteโ€™ icon. Save the file with your name and email the document to imperiled@myfwc.com. Alternatively, you may summarize your comments with reference to page and line number in Word or in the body of an email. Please email comments by the end of the day, September 2nd, 2016. After we receive your comments and suggestions, we will work to make revisions in the next few weeks to bring the final plan and associated rules before our Commissioners on November 16th and 17th, 2016.

There will also be ย three upcoming webinars:
Wednesday, July 27th from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
Monday, August 1st from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Monday August 8th from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

All three webinars will cover the same information. You will need to join via Adobe and Telephone to hear and see the webinar. Please let me know if you have any questions.
