President’s Report

Throughout my term as your FHBA President, I have had the privilege to work alongside volunteer leadership, builders, trade partner members and staff to achieve significant milestones for the homebuilding industry. Our successes this year would not have been possible without our combined efforts.

I recognize the tremendous coordination required to attain noteworthy victories this year in targeted areas such as: Our Successful Lobbying Efforts; Controlling Governmental Regulations; Establishing a Workforce Task Force; Providing over $7,000 in savingsย per home built; Creating discount partnerships to save you money on everyday business expenses; and Offering a premier education and trade show experience through the Southeast Building Conference. During the FHBA Fall Leadership Conference, on November 3-5, 2016, in Miramar, Florida, you can join me in honoring those who worked to make building in Florida easier and more successful for you.

FHBA Senior Offices who served beside me this year are greatly appreciated. These individuals, along with other FHBA leaders and volunteers, gave much of their time, talents, and expertise on behalf of you and those in the homebuilding industry.

Looking back on 2016, I am confident in stating that, with the federated efforts of our organizations, leaders, and volunteers, the local HBAs, FHBA, and NAHB made great strides to accomplishing our goal: improving the economic environment for the homebuilding industry in Florida. And, I know, that in 2017 we will achieve even more.

I would like to thank all the members of our federation for allowing me to serve all of you this past year. It was a great honor and privilege!
