The Florida Home Builders Association honored Michelle Masline, of Twin River Insurance, as the 2019 Woman of Distinction, a recognition awarded by over 8,000 FHBA members across the state. Selected by a council of industry leaders, the award is presented to a woman member who exhibits best practices, expertise, and exceptional leadership qualities.
Masline was presented on Friday, October 4, 2019, during the FHBA Fall Leadership Conference at The White Room in St. Augustine, Florida.
Masline, now serving her third year as President of the Home Builders and Contractors Association of Brevard (HBCA), she has been responsible for helping grow the association with her hard work and dedication to the residential building industry. She takes her volunteer position very seriously.
Masline has successfully established a construction summer intern program, B.R.I.C.K. – the Brevard Internships in Construction Knowledge –whose intent is to specifically address the industry’s workforce shortage. This collaborative effort opened the door for 30 Brevard County public school students to work the summer with local employers in the construction related fields.
Masline is a positive voice in the community representing her building industry. She also supports the Brevard community as a board member of the Brevard Zoo, the Melbourne Regional Chamber, the Space Coast Human Resource Association, and the South Brevard Society of Human Resource Managers.
“We strive to emphasize the outstanding successes and innovations of woman builders and trade partners. Michelle has a strong desire to see the homebuilding industry be successful,” said Rusty Payton, FHBA CEO/Chief Lobbyist. “Her passion to address the workforce shortage is commendable.”
