Ryan Benson, principal with A. Vernon Allen Builder, has been named president of the Collier Building Industry Association.
The CBIA is a not -for-profit professional association of dedicated industry professionals who are inspired to make a difference in the community through advocacy, education, networking and philanthropy. The Association represents the collective voice of the Collier County building industry and serves as a thoroughly engaged and effective advocate for its members. As it represents the interests of the building industry, CBIA provides its members pathways for continuing education, relationship building and opportunities to be of service to the community.
Benson earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Stetson University in DeLand, Fla., and his Master of Business Administration degree from Florida International University in Miami. He has been in the construction industry for over 15 years, and was a finalist for the National Association of Home Builders Young Professional’s Award for two consecutive years. In 2017 Benson was named as one of Gulfshore Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40 recipients, and one of Business Observers 40 under 40 in 2018. He was also recently named Builder of the Year by the Collier Building Industry Association.
Benson is involved in a number of building organizations, including serving as President of the Collier Building Industry Association, a delegate on both the Board of Directors of the Florida Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders for 2018 and as Vice-Chairman of FHBA’s Local President’s Council. Additionally, Benson is a Trustee for Canterbury School, past president of Naples Gulfshore Rotary, and vice chairman of the Boys and Girls Club of Collier County.
In 1951, A Vernon Allen established the company, which became one of the first homebuilders in Port Royal and is the largest builder in the Port Royal Community today, as well as one of the most established and finest custom homebuilders in Naples. Benson and his business partner, Andy Bringardner, completed their acquisition of the firm in 2015 after almost a decade working as managers of the firm. For more information about A.
