Florida Home Builders Association Honors Senator Hutson, Champion of Housing

July 27, 2016 – The Florida Home Builders Association honored Senator Travis Hutson with its Champion of Housing award, a recognition awarded by over 7,800 FHBA members across the state. Selected by industry leaders, the award honors legislators who have shown exemplary service for enhancing the building industry in Florida.

The award was presented to Sen. Hutson on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, during the FHBA sponsored Southeast Building Conference at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida.

Senator Hutson was key to passing the Building Code Bill, which was years in the making, outlines vitally important homebuilder issues that focus on reducing unnecessary regulation association with building a house.

โ€œFHBA recognizes Senator Hutson for his support of the building industry beyond the 60-day legislative session,โ€ said Rusty Payton, FHBA CEO/Chief Lobbyist. โ€œHe worked along side us; proving to those in our profession that the economic business environment of the building industry is a priority. He is a true champion.โ€
