The Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) honored Sharon Neuhofer, PA, of Coldwell Banker Sunstar Realty, as its 2018 Associate of the Year, a recognition awarded by over 8,000 FHBA members across the state. Selected by a council of industry leaders, the award encourages best practices, expertise, and exceptional leadership qualities. FHBA associate members are partners either engaged in the trade industry, or a profession related to building in Florida.
The award, which is a respected tradition for over forty years, will be presented on Saturday, October 6, 2018, during the FHBA Fall Leadership Conference at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs, Florida.
Neuhofer is a steady representative for the home building industry, as evident in her donations of time and talents within the legislative and workforce arenas. She keeps herself entrenched in local and state government affair committees and attends events where she advocates for both the builder and realtor associations, respectively. While holding many volunteer roles, most notable is her donation of services for the Charlotte DeSoto Building Industry Association’s (CDBIA) Professionals Actively Leading and Mentoring (PALM) Home. Neuhofer served as Realtor to the PALM Home, where builders and trades donated their time and resources while mentoring local students who assisted in the construction of the project. Proceeds from the sale of the home go toward the CDBIA, who in turn donates a portion to the Future Builders of America; a non-profit dedicated to introducing construction career opportunities to secondary school students and other youth up to 25 years of age.
“Sharon always stands at the ready to support the building industry” said Rusty Payton, FHBA CEO/Chief Lobbyist. “She does what it takes, no matter what, to ensure that Florida provides a better economic and workforce environment for home building. We are proud to recognize Sharon for her outstanding career accomplishments.”
