The Greater Orlando Builders Association (GOBA) held its annual Installation and Awards Dinner at The Mezz in Downtown Orlando, Florida on Thursday November 2nd. Members of the Greater Orlando Builders Association came together to celebrate their 2017 leadership and install its president, officers and directors for the year 2018.
Bill Silliman of Silliman Cityside Homes, longtime custom home builder in Central Florida, has been named President of the Greater Orlando Builder Association for the year 2018.
Deborah Dudley, First American Title, is the new Associate Vice President, the highest officer position of an Associate member.
John Riddle, Turning Leaf Construction, will serve as Vice President;
Tony Hartsgrove, ODC Construction,ย as Treasurer;
Wes Robbins, Quick Tie Systems, as Secretary.
Jeff Schnellmann of Silliman CitySide Homes assumes the position of Immediate-Past President and Amanda Holt of D and D Garage Doors is Immediate-Past Associate Vice President.
Each year we honor Two Spike Members who always have GOBA Membership on their minds and recruit year-round. Mike Loader of Quick Tie Systems was honored as 2017 Associate Spike of the year and Jeff Schnellmann of Sillliman CitySide Homes was honored as 2017 Builder Spike of the year.
The Pinnacle Builders Award was created in 2012 as recognition for Builder Members who support GOBAโs Motto of โDoing Business with Members.โ Three Members were recognized with the 2017 Pinnacle Builders Award Silliman CitySide Homes, Turning Leaf Construction and BellaVista Building Group.
The 2017 Stephen Gidus Award for Remodeling Excellence was presented to Hardwick General Contracting.
In recognition of their outstanding efforts on behalf of the association and the Central Florida community, Jack Lazinsk of Richmond American Homes was honored as 2017 Builder of the Year and Tony Hartsgrove with ODC Construction was named 2017 Associate of the Year.
It was a special honor to induct Alex Hannigan of Hannigan Homes, Inc., Tony Martin of Victoria Equities, and the late Kim Goehring of Goehring and Morgan Construction Inc. into the 2017 Class of the Hall of Fame.
After accepting his role of Past President Jeff Schnellmann had the honor of presenting Presidential Citations to Tony Martin, Tony Hartsgrove and Vivien Monaco of Burr & Forman.
The highest level of achievement, the 2017 Eagle Award was presented to Mike Keesee of Keesee Associates Inc. for his support of GOBA, Florida Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders.
