Volusia Building Industry Association Installs New Officers

DAYTONA BEACH, FL, December 2, 2016– The Volusia Building Industry Association installed new officers, board members, and honored associates and builders Friday, Dec. 2, at the annual Holiday Party, Installations, and Awards event at the LPGA in Daytona.

Tony DiNizo, of Luxury Builders, Inc., in Ormond Beach steps in as VBIA President for 2017, with honors given to Jake Hickson of Hickson Construction Company, Inc., of New Smyrna Beach for his term as 2016 VBIA President.

Additionally, the Association honored Cindy Weinberg of The Daytona News-Journal as 2016 VBIA Associate of the Year and Jim Mather of Paytas Homes in Port Orange claimed the 2016 VBIA Builder of the Year award.

Top honors for the Above and Beyond Award were received by Shelley Stewart of Southern Title in Daytona Beach. Stewart also is the VBIA’s first state officer for the Florida Home Builder’s Association and received recognition for serving as 2016 VBIA Capitol Club Co-Chairman.

Association members and officers took also gave honors to Executive Director Sandy Burke Bishop with a surprise award honoring her hard work and dedication to the VBIA.
