Growth Management Package
CS/CS/HB 7103 by Rep. Fischer – Passed favorably out of State Affairs on a vote of 14 to 8 and is ready for action on the House Floor.
CS/CS/SB 1730 by Sen. Lee – Was amended in Infrastructure & Security and passed on a vote of 7 to 1.  It has 1 more committee stop (Rules) and will be ready for action on the Senate Floor.

Small Scale Comp Plan Amendments
HB 6017 by Rep. Duggan – Passed Third Reading on a vote of 108 to 5 and is ready to be sent to the Senate.
SB 1494 by Sen. Perry – Passed favorable out of Infrastructure & Security on a vote of 8 to 0.  It has 1 more committee stop (Rules) and it will ready for action on the Senate Floor.

Preemption of Local Regulations
CS/CS/CS/HB 3 by Rep. Grant – Passed Third Reading on a vote of 88 to 24 and is ready to be sent to the Senate.
SB 1748 by Sen. Perry – Has not been heard in any of its committees of reference.

Deregulation of Professions & Occupations
CS/HB 27 by Rep. Ingoglia – Did not move last week, but has passed through all of its committees of reference and is awaiting placement on the House Special Order calendar.
CS/CS/SB 1640 by Sen. Albritton – Was amended in Commerce & Tourism and passed on a vote of 5 to 0.  It has 1 more committee stop (Appropriations) and it will be ready for action on the Senate Floor.

Mitigation Banking
CS/HB 521 by Rep. McClure – Passed Third Reading on a vote of 72 to 42 and is ready to be sent to the Senate.
CS/SB 532 by Sen. Lee – Did not move last week, but has passed through all of its committees of reference and is awaiting placement on the Senate Special Order calendar.

Water & Septic Tank Legislation
Water and Septic Tank legislation did not move last week.  We are hearing rumors that a new water bill will emerge.  FHBA will be closely monitoring and lobbying on these issues.

FBC Enforcement (Excess Fees)
CS/HB 715 by Rep. Robinson – Did not move last week.
SB 1036 by Sen. Gruters – Was amended in its first committee stop (Community Affairs) and passed on a vote of 5 to 0.  It has 2 more committee stops and is danger of not making it to the Senate floor without procedural action.

Open Permits
CS/HB 447 by Rep. Diamond – Was amended in Commerce and passed on a vote of 22 to 0.  It is now ready for action on the House Floor.
SB 902 by Sen. Perry – Did not move last week.  It has 1 more committee stop (Rules) and it will then be ready for action on the Senate Floor.

Inspections & Permits
HB 1139 by Rep. Plakon – Did not move last week.  It has 1 more committee stop (State Affairs) and then it will be ready for action on the House Floor.  FHBA opposes this bill in its current form.
CS/SB 1752 by Sen. Perry – Was amended in its first committee stop (Community Affairs) and passed on a vote of 5 to 0.  It has 2 more committee stops and is danger of not making it to the Senate floor without procedural action.

Registered Contractor Licensing
HB 763 by Rep. Watson – Passed favorable out of its last committee stop (Commerce) on a vote of 22 to 0.  It is now ready of action on the House Floor.
SB 604 by Sen. Pizzo – Did not move last week.  It has 1 more committee stop (Rules) and it will then be ready for action on the Senate Floor.

Reduction of Construction Contracting Fraud
CS/CS/HB 877 by Rep. Grant – Did not move last week.
SB 1092 by Sen. Albritton – Did not move last week.
A new Proposed Committee bill was filed, JDC2 relating to Public Safety, by the House Judiciary Committee.  It is a 264 page bill addressing a myriad of criminal justice issues.  The bill received 5 amendments and passed the Judiciary Committee on a vote of 17 to 0.  It then received an official bill number of HB 7125 and received 1 committee reference (Appropriations).

Assignment of Benefits
CS/CS/HB 7065 by Rep. Rommel –Passed Third Reading on a vote of 96 to 20 and is ready to be sent to the Senate.
CS/CS/SB 122 by Sen. Broxson – Did not move last week but is scheduled to be heard in its last committee of reference (Rules) on Wednesday.

Workforce Education
CS/HB 7071 by Rep. Mariano – Did not move last week, but has passed through all of its committees of reference and is awaiting placement on the House Special Order calendar.
 CS/SB 770 by Sen. Hutson – Was amended in Innovation, Industry, and Technology and passed on a vote of 9 to 0.  It has 1 more committee stop (Appropriations) and then it will be ready for action on the Senate Floor.
